Recognizes shows that educate clinicians, students, or the public about clinical topics, medical science, evidence-based practice, or professional development. This honor celebrates podcasts that make complex health information accurate, accessible, and actionable, regardless of the host's clinical discipline.
Excellence in Patient Voice
Recognizes shows that center the patient or caregiver experience, sharing lived experiences with illness, navigating the healthcare system, advocating for better care, or empowering others through shared stories. Recognizes shows launched within the past 18 months that demonstrate exceptional quality, credibility, and early impact. This honor celebrates the next generation of credible voices in health podcasting. Emerging shows may also submit for any other area that fits their content.

Eligibility
The Health Podcast Awards are free to enter and open to all health podcasts. Producers, hosts/creators, podcast networks, and sponsoring organizations can submit a show.
Shows may be submitted for up to two areas of recognition. Each podcast may only be entered once. If the same show is submitted by more than one person or organization, the duplicate entries will be consolidated.
Podcasts must have been actively publishing for at least six months and have at least six published episodes before June 1, 2026. Shows submitting for Outstanding Emerging Voice must have at least six episodes and must have released their first episode after January 1, 2025.
Submitters must indicate their relationship to the podcast in the entry form. If the submitter is not the creator/owner of the podcast, the contact details of the creator/owner must be provided.

Who should enter?
Health Podcast Awards are open to all creators of accessible, credible health podcasts. Independent podcasters and those affiliated with healthcare organizations, media companies, or podcast networks are eligible. See the homepage for more detailed entry requirements. Submissions that do not fall within the eligibility criteria will not be considered.

Does it cost money to enter?
No, it's absolutely free.
What are the categories?
The categories you can enter are listed above. We may add additional categories, so sign up for our newsletter and keep an eye on your inbox!
Do I have to be part of any networks to enter?
Absolutely not. Any individual or organization that is creating high-impact, evidence-based, human-centered health podcasts can apply to be recognized. Shows from any network, or no network at all, can enter Health Podcast Awards.
How do I enter?
Start by filling out the form on our website. You'll receive next steps once you submit the form.
My podcast fits more than one category. What should I do?
You can select up to three categories for your show. On the application, you will be able to have a primary, secondary, and tertiary category. Please prioritize your entry based on what you think fits best.
When will winners be announced?
Awards will be presented at an in-person event in September 2026. Visit our website and subscribe for updates to get the latest information.
How can I get involved?

Can sponsors be considered for awards?
Sponsors are invited to support different categories; however, they can't be considered for awards in the categories they sponsor. They will be considered for categories which they are not sponsoring.
